A gallery asked if I wanted to do a painting for an 8-bit graphic show in Los Angeles. So I said yeah. But yeah. I grew up never playing video games so I didn't know what to do. But I have a Futurama DVD. So this painting sort of came from that episode where Fry asks the What-if Machine what life would be like if it was more like a video game (Anthology of Interest Part II, I think season 4, but I don't know cause I let someone borrow my DVD). Then he had to fight off space invaders and then Lur and a bunch of video game icons I can't identify cause I never played video games, pile out demanding quarters.
I know you didn't need to know that, but Ihave nothing else better to do these days then hang out on the internet and write about this stuff.
