Hey! I noticed I haven't updated this section in a year. Well, here's an update of most everything from the past year. You can click on the image to take you to the photo's place in our flickr account just in case you're really that bored, or want to see the art at the art shows I mention. Mostly these photos are like samples of what we did the past year.
Marci went back to school to get her MFA. This is her first studio in the Nave of the San Francisco Campus.

New York: October 2006
I had to go to New York cause I had a solo show out there.
This is Sir Francis. He was over while we were staying with Daniel St. George.
Sir Francis talks like a robot. He's an abyssinian so that means he's worth about $1000.

They have cartoon acorns in Brooklyn. Yeah, WTF.
Ryan made this funny mask (I'm sorry, most of my friends do have websites; I don't know if I'm suppose to mention them when I can, or play it like they don't have websites. I don't know.). Well this mask is pretty creepy. He pretty much made the cheapest halloween costume ever, while also being paid for it cause he did it at work with the copier machine there. he xeroxed his face and hands about 1/3 bigger so they can go around his real self.
Marci and her friend Anna. Anna's from San Francisco and used to be Marci's sister's roommate when they all lived in the same building. This is all before I ever met Marci. So yeah. A long time ago.
This is a picture of Derek McCall. Derek Wood also was there. They just happen to be visiting New York as well and came for the opening.
We also got to meet up with Jen Yazon, who I knew when I was in undergrad. She went out to New York to go to Hunter. I visited her last in New York in like, 2003, when she was still in the program.
This is one of many photos from our trip to the American Natural History Museum.
--------------------------------------------------
Jake and I went to see Laura's BFA show. She used to be our roommate.
Jake looks pretty messed up here. But not as messed up as a month earlier. Below is a picture of Jake a few days after the accident. These days he looks pretty normal.
As bad as this looks it probably would have been worse if Jake hadn't been wearing his helmet. Also you probably shouldn't be riding off park benches at night while intoxicated. Leads to bad face plants.
But yeah. Laura made this. She was a wood furniture major.

Oakland: November 2006

This is Marci in her Oldsmobile Omega.
--------------------------------------------------
We went to see Thomas Campbell speak at the Marin Headlands. It was pretty sweet. The Headlands is pretty creepy at night.

--------------------------------------------------
We meet Maxwell for the first time at an opening at Giant Robot. This photo is Marci, Amanda, and Maxwell. If you can't figure it out, Amanda is Marci's sister.
--------------------------------------------------
This photo was found on a roll I never developed ever since we switched to digital. It's from our trip to Utah. Don't let that smile fool you. Marci wasn't really feeling that good that day. This was the last day we were in Park City, and Marci had to get some advil real bad.
--------------------------------------------------
This is me in Placerville. I went with Marci to her grandparents for Thanksgiving. It was pretty cool. Pretty weird, too. They actually play football, and all that other stuff, that people do on that holiday.
--------------------------------------------------
This is the Cemetary. One of the places we jog at. I jog with either Joe or Marci, but mostly Joe, cause Marci's really busy with school. I don't really see much outside my Apartment, cause I pretty much am at home all day.

Here's a photo of me right after a jog. Joe was dicking around taking hippy photos of leaves. We're not really healthy joggers cause we end up at 7-11 afterwards.

Derek One setting up beer pong. They used to play this a lot. They probably still do.

Marci and Conor had a Roast Chicken Cookoff. You can see more photos here.

San Francisco: January 2007

Daniel came to town cause he had a solo show in the city.
--------------------------------------------------
We met up with Kishi. Hadn't seen him in years. Sometimes he goes off to far away exotic places for work. He looks the same since I've last seen him. He's holding onto a chomping toy Marci and I got at the San Francisco Zoo.

Portland: February 2007
Was in a group show my friend Ogi put together in Portland. I pretty much just scraped together some random paintings so I could have an excuse to hang out with him in Portland. I love Portland, but pretty much after the third trip you pretty much know what to expect.
This was taken right after we got off the train. It took 16 hours to get up there cause of the snow. There was a derailment, and Amtrack doesn't own their own tracks, so Freight trains have priority. We thought we were going to drive up to Portland, and then at the last minute, plans fell apart. Ogi and I don't drive. Ogi, actually can drive, but doesn't have a license. You needed to know that, right?
Amtrack isn't that bad. If you're by yourself you can put both the recliners back and make a bed. And there's a pretty sweet observation deck.
Ogi in Portland Chinatown. It was a pretty sad excuse for a Chinatown, mostly cause there weren't many Chinese people.
This is Strength. That's Bailey singing. They used to live in Oakland, but then moved to Portland. We went to go see them play. House parties in Portland are kind of weird.
This was at the Delta, a pretty awesome Southern Restaurant in Portland.
--------------------------------------------------
Rob and Ben in Pescadero, CA. We went down the 1 to get tacos at a place Ben read up in the New York Times. It was at a gas station so our food smelled sort of like gasoline. The drive was sweet, though, and it was good seeing Ben and Rob.
--------------------------------------------------
I helped Marci sponge her stone while she made her litho prints. I hadn't done this in a while. Like since I was 19, but I pretty much remember most of it. My friend Jacob once broke a stone at SF State, and we had to find a place for that without our teacher knowing. We dumped it in the humanities department. Years later I found out our printmaking teacher knew about it.
--------------------------------------------------
Strength comes to Oakland. Pat, Bailey, and John. They played at some place in East Oakland that used to be a hotel, but now is a giant apartment with like 10 rooms or so. This was their bathroom. They wanted us to take a picture of them in it.
--------------------------------------------------
We went to a German restaurant in the City for Brendan's birthday. Brendan and Evah are studying German cause they want to move to Germany for a short while. They want to go to Berlin. I think they should go to Austria instead.
--------------------------------------------------
Los Angeles: April 2007
We took two short trips to Los Angeles. This the first. I had a show so we ended up staying with our friend Carolline.

Carolline and Marci and the Festival of Books at UCLA. Pretty un-exciting.
We did see Jack, though. I worked with Jack at Giant Robot for like two months, right before I left for Oakland.
--------------------------------------------------
I blew up balloons for Marci's birthday (with help from Clara and Marci). Wasn't allowed to get a pinata.

This is Marci near the end of the night. Right before I told her to take it down a notch.
--------------------------------------------------
San Francisco: May 2007
Marci had a show at GRSF. More photos here.
Marci installing. I had to wire up the back of Michelle Carlson's stuff. That really sucked.
James came early. A few weeks later he'll try teaching me to drive, and then I'll plow his truck into an RV.
Amanda, Anna, and Nick. Anna and Nick just moved out here from New York.
--------------------------------------------------
Los Angeles: May 2007
These next photos are from our second trip to LA. Our friends had shows and we thought we'd go to see shows and then go to San Diego to see my mom (we took her to the zoo).

We stayed at Kelly and Matt's. They took us to the Burito King. I got a double cheese burger.
This is Brendan and Evah right after they figured out they were stranded cause the car they were using wouldn't start (and the alarm wouldn't stop beeping). They were dropping off stuff at Kelly's, cause she runs Little Paper Planes They ended up using Marci's car to run errand with me, while Marci went shopping, so it all worked out. Cause I didn't have to go shopping, and they bought me a chocolate shake.
Marci and Big Tomy's. We had breakfast there when we first moved to LA, and Marci swore off eating there. But it's 24 hours, and so it was kind of like a last resort to find some place decent to eat. Marci liked her burger a lot. I used to eat at Big Tomy's like twice a month cause it was on the way home from work. I used to walk from Sawtelle, to Pico, to Sepulveda. I usually finished my fries by the time I got home. You need to know this, right? They have a love testing machine. I think I did poorly on it.
--------------------------------------------------
We picked up Brendan in San Diego and drove up to Oakland from there. We stopped off in Leucadia to get burittos and eat them on the beach (Marci and I do this everytime we visit the folks).
